VAC is Open!

Posted May 20, 2021

Brother’s and Sister’s,

The VAC is back up. If you have any ideas or events that you are interested in making a VAC please reach out to our office and we can put you in touch with our VAC coordinator. Lowell Homan reported at our last meeting that he had looked into the Memorial Day Flag placing event at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Dixon but due to limited capacity it would not be a VAC event this year. But you can keep an eye out for the following events.

The AFL-CIO is holding a Week of Action around the PRO-Act from April 26th to May 1st. You can find links to events happening around the country on the AFL-CIO toolkit and please also check out the IUPAT toolkit  for links to videos and other content.

At the same time, the IUPAT will be the lead union for NABTU’s Labor Standards in the Clean Energy Industry campaign from April 26 to April 30th.  The communications team will be sharing videos and other items on social media that week that we encourage you to share.

And, as you all know, the week of April 26th also includes Workers Memorial Day and May Day, a day to highlight both worker and immigrant rights.
